India’s low-cost carrier, IndiGo, is starting direct flights to Manchester and Amsterdam from July 2025. This marks the airline’s first entry into Western Europe.
Key Details:
Flights: Both cities will have three flights a week, providing regular connections between India and Europe.
Aircraft: The flights will use Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner planes, leased from Norse Atlantic Airways.
Expansion: IndiGo plans to add more planes to its fleet, growing its long-haul capabilities.
This move shows IndiGo’s commitment to expanding globally and connecting India to Europe. The direct Manchester flight is especially significant, as it’s the only direct route between India and Northern England.
