Vistara has launched its international operations with its maiden flights to Singapore from Delhi and Mumbai. The full service carrier owned by Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines will commence two daily flights to the South Asian nation, one each from Delhi and Mumbai from August 6 and 7, respectively. Bookings for flights to Singapore are now being opened progressively on all channels. The airline will fly its With increasing demand and available war chest for rapid expansion, starting for Rs. 21,877 for the economy class and Rs. 76, 890 for the business class for the flight from Delhi, while the fare starts from Rs 20,778 for the economy class and Rs 63,331 for the business class from Mumbai.
Speaking on the launch, Leslie Thng, Chief Executive Officer, Vistara, said, “We present to the world today a shining new symbol of warm Indian hospitality with a contemporary approach and world-class service. We’re excited to start with Singapore as our first international destination, which we see as a very important market, given the opportunities it presents for corporate, business as well as leisure travel. As we soon take the ‘new feeling of flying’ to more international destinations, we hope to provide our customers from overseas the finest way to experience India, and inspire travellers from across India to explore more of the world.”
Flight no UK115 from Delhi starting August 6 will depart to Singapore at 23:45 and reach its destination by 08:15 hours (+1), while, flight UK116 will fly back to Delhi from Singapore at 09:30 hours (+1) and land the IGI International airport at 12:45 hours on August 7.
Similarly, flight UK 105 from Mumbai will fly to Singapore on August 7, at 23:55 hours and land at 08:15 hours (+1) at the Changi airport. On its return, flight UK 106, will depart at 10:30 hours on August 8 and land at the Chhtrapati Shivaji International airport the same day at 13:55 hours.
The airline now connects 25 destinations, operates over 1200 flights a week served by a fleet of 23 Airbus A320 and six Boeing 737-800NG aircraft.
