The Chardham Yatra is a significant pilgrimage circuit in Hinduism, which comprises four holy sites in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. The four sacred destinations included in the Chardham Yatra are:
- Yamunotri: Situated in the western region of Garhwal Himalayas, it is the source of the Yamuna River and is dedicated to the goddess Yamuna.
- Gangotri: Located in the northern part of Uttarakhand, it is the source of the Ganges River and is dedicated to Goddess Ganga.
- Kedarnath: Situated in the Rudraprayag district, it is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and is one of the holiest Hindu pilgrimage sites.
- Badrinath: Located in the Chamoli district, it is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is one of the 108 Divya Desams (holy abodes of Vishnu).
